Spelling mistakes are common, but they make you look, well…not-so-smart. They’re awkward in a professional context, and sending an email or document with spelling errors doesn’t put you in the best possible light. Lack of attention to detail shows evidence of education, or lack thereof, and is unprofessional. If spelling isn’t your strength, use spell check or dust off that dictionary! All of the words in this list (except one) will most likely be used in business correspondence or a writing project at some point, soon. Number nine is so basic it shouldn’t even be on this list! You definitely don’t want to be judged by your spelling inabilities. Be sure to make note of these common spelling errors if you’re a writer, blogger, virtual assistant, or student!
